ArtPlayer Installed in ILWiA Mobile Living Lab as Part of EU Project ProVaHealth
As part of the EU project "ProVaHealth: PRODUCT VALIDATION IN HEALTH," ArtPlayer was integrated into ILWiA's mobile Living Lab. This installation is part of a larger initiative focused on testing modern technologies for healthy aging in the Baltic Sea Region.
Healthy Aging with Modern Technology
WITENO’s regional InfoPoint ILWiA focuses on promoting healthy aging through technology. Their Living Lab is a showcase apartment equipped with various technical assistance systems designed to support self-determined living for the elderly. ArtPlayer was included as part of this showcase to explore how digital art can enhance the well-being of elderly individuals.
The Collaboration with ArtPlayer
The goal of this collaboration was to evaluate ArtPlayer’s technology in a real-world scenario. By integrating ArtPlayer into the mobile ILWiA Living Lab, the technology was demonstrated to professional users, including hospital and nursing home representatives, as well as elderly end users. The test phase was scheduled for 30 days, with all costs covered by the ProVaHealth project, making the experience free for visitors.
ArtPlayer System Showcased Across Multiple Locations
The ArtPlayer system was installed in the mobile Living Lab, which toured various locations in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Denmark. The test began on the inspiration day on February 7th in Odense and was extended until September, allowing more visitors to experience and evaluate ArtPlayer. The system attracted significant attention, particularly from elderly visitors, as well as representatives from housing companies and care facilities.
User Feedback and System Adaptation
The ILWiA team collected user feedback during the test phase and delivered it to ArtPlayer to help adapt the system for the German market. Professionals showed strong interest in how ArtPlayer’s use of TV screens to influence mood and well-being could benefit elderly care environments.
